LED Lighting Retrofits
Commercial LED Lighting Retrofits & Ballast Bypass in Seattle
Convert failing fluorescent fixtures to LED: ballast bypass rewiring, Type B LED tubes, and 2x2 LED panels for stores, pharmacies, and offices across King, Snohomish & Pierce counties.
Request an LED QuoteStop chasing ballasts
In older stores and offices, fluorescent ballasts fail one at a time. A tube flickers, a row goes dark, and each service call fixes one fixture until the next one goes. A ballast-bypass LED retrofit removes the part that keeps failing: we rewire each fixture to power "Type B" LED tubes directly from line voltage. The fixture stays, the ballast goes, energy use drops, and future maintenance is a simple tube swap.
We diagnose before we quote. On a typical first visit we test bulbs, sockets, ballasts, and wiring across the affected area, then recommend the most cost-effective fix: relamp, replace a ballast, bypass for LED, or replace the fixture with an LED panel.
LED retrofit options
Type A, Type B, or Type A+B: which LED tube?
Type A tubes plug into the existing ballast: easy, but the ballast can still fail. Type B tubes bypass the ballast entirely: a little more labor up front, but the most reliable long-term. Hybrid A+B tubes work either way, so they suit a store where some ballasts are fine and others have failed. For most commercial fixtures with aging ballasts, we recommend Type B.

FAQ
LED Retrofit FAQ
We remove the fluorescent ballast and rewire the fixture so Type B LED tubes run directly on line voltage. The ballast, the part that keeps failing, is gone, and future maintenance is just a tube swap.
For fixtures in good physical condition, a ballast bypass is usually cheaper than new fixtures. Damaged or obsolete troffers are better replaced with LED panels. We recommend based on what we find.
Type B (ballast bypass) is the most reliable long-term. Type A reuses the ballast. Hybrid A+B tubes work either way and suit stores where only some ballasts have failed.
Yes. Work at height is usually done before opening or after hours so the sales floor stays usable.

Our workmanship carries a 90-day warranty, and LED tubes and panels carry their manufacturer warranties.
